I think I have ordered and cancelled these lenses like 5 times. They are not particularly cheap and I was not sure that I need them. I still have the Tamron 70-300 and I thought that is good enough. Well, I was wrong. Professional glass is expensive for a reason.
I won’t be going to much into a review. I love them. Light construction, excellent ergonomic on my Nikon D7100 with or without the grip attached and, for my eye, perfect image quality. Most of the photos bellow are shot at the minimum aperture, f/4. I took them tonight, roaming for 2 hours near home.
I don’t have enough skill for these lenses. There is a lot of potential in them. I will get soon a tele-converter as well, the 1.7 one from Nikon, and get back with the results. It should be interesting to see they get along.
And by the way, the above Tamron is for sale now. It is like new. I have used those lenses like 10 times tops in one year. Contact me if interested!
