Every year we visit this place because of the shearing amount of cranes and other birds that gather here, coming form the south, before they fly to their nesting grounds all over Scandinavia.
Every year I have longer lenses, except for this year when I got the same since last year. But last year there were no birds there because in April everything was completely frozen. Fortunately now the numbers are still rising. Yesterday they were 22.000. When we went, 2 weeks ago, there were 9700. Next weekend is probably the last weekend before they leave, which is usually after 10th of April. Hopefully we will see at least 24.000 next weekend and the dance as well.
