After struggling with WordPress for some time, trying to keep it up and running and fast in the same time, I realized that my website is completely inaccessible from a mobile device. And that is basically suicidal if you really want to use a website for anything. But, I had a lot of stuff on the old website, still have, so changing it to something different proved to be a serious quest. Thus, I have postponed that action for more than a year.
Fortunately, recently I have read some info on Petapixel about this great tool called Photog!, made by a Dutch dude, which can generate a simple html gallery from a folder on your computer. Also it can use index.html templates to generate proper index files. The tool has a tone of functionality but it is not very well documented now, at least not for people with little or no knowledge about python. As a mention, if you want a pretty website with this tool, you also need to know some css.
After 2-3 days of work, this is the result – www.sebastianbularca.com. And it works on mobile since it is pure html/css.
The blog here is still running on WordPress due to the fact that, well, it is a blog. It was a bit challenging to make it look similar with the website, but I think I am there.
Thus, a new beginning!
